This is an ikat design rug, totally handwoven.Our handwoven rugs are done in limited quantities and are not mass produced. Each rug is an individual work of art. The Ikat design is done by tie dying the yarns in skeins and then weaving the rug. The resulting design is totally random and each is one of a kind. The quality of the weaving of this rug is superb and is an 80 count rug meaning the yarns are less thick and much more tightly woven.
